BEING A BLACK GIRL - OUR STRENGTH IN OUR WEAKNESS

"When others sit ; we stand , When others stand ; we stand out , When others stand out; WE ARE THE EMPERORS. "As fragile as a bomb and not as a flower". These words are all that come to mind when i think of a black girl or woman.
We are strong, both emotionally and physically. We are fighters , who go against all odds to achieve what we want.
We have to fight for everything, nothing comes easy but what makes us unique is despite all the trouble and hardship, there is always a smile on our face.

It difficult being these two things ( being black & being a girl)  for different reasons. RACISM AND GENDER INEQUALITY are one of the main reasons. They are  fast growing in our society and it our duty as individuals to curb the spread of these "psychological virus" because there is no vaccine.  It is our individual responsibility to put and end to this to make the world a better place.

According to Melanne .S. Vervee  " When women progress, we all progress . No  country can get ahead when it leaves half of his people behind".  the world can't progress if it leaves half of its  people ( the black race and the female gender)  behind.

Being a female child is not in anyway a disadvantage rather it  is a strength that the world must learn to accept. Being black also doesn't make me less human rather it is a super power that our melanin provides us with , we just have to learn how to use it properly.

Black women like Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, Folorunsho Alakija, Kamala Harris, Serena Williams, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala,  Ibukun Awosika, Lupita Nyong'o , Chimamanda Adichie, Priscilla Kuye and so many others in their respective professions who are still leaving their marks in society. These  women have not failed us as role models, They have shown us that despite race, gender, religion and other things that society that society poses as a problem, that we can achieve whatever we want to."Little Girls with dreams become women with vision", and these women have proved it.
