ONE YEAR LATER........

Should I start by saying he is amazing or should I say the story over again.This time last year was when the devil tried to tempt himself but I survived. I not only survived but became greater.
After a whole first term of not being in school, I was scared to go back but I did. My friends were there, so we're my teachers, my juniors and every other person. Ss2 was not the best class, I can even call it my worst. Prefectship wahala, keeping up with your academics at the same time and a bunch of other dramas. It was not the nicest situation to meet after surgery but I braced up and faced all my challenges head-on and cried a lot of times😁😁 but God being a merciful God made that same session the first time I'll get an academic award.
The journey was not easy but God was there from the onset.

SOME DAYS AFTER FATHER'S DAY

I would have written this piece on Father's Day but I didn't want to be selfish. I didn't want to turn a happy occasion to a sad one. So I'll write it today, some days after Father's Day. I don't think I was ever told what death was. Not even now. No one ever sat with me to have that "talk", the one that tries to soften the tough blow reality has dealt you. I just… knew. And i knew pretty young too. Like they say, experience is the best teacher. Unfortunately, this was a lesson it handed me too early, in my honest opinion. Today, a lot of people are quick to judge others who undergo cosmetic surgeries, especially in Africa, but are not quick to remember the snide remarks made to such individuals in the past about their bodies. Rome wasn't built in a day; decisions like these are most likely the result of negative comments they have heard over the years. Many of our parents try to understand where our insecurities stem from, forgetting they were the first to make "harmless" jokes or comments about our bodies or looks as children.
