ANGER INSPIRED BY HUNGER

It just has to be the audacity for me because there is no other explanation for such rubbish.Those boys in Lagos market just have to be the worst, they first of all have the audacity to call out to you, then drag or touch you  and when you don't respond they still try to pick a fight or  insult you when you react. 
Who gave these people such confidence??😭." Even unknown gunmen don't have that kind of confidence", I honestly envy it. 

I most times never react when people touch me but you know the saying "a hungry man is an angry man" , well that saying played out on this fateful day. It was during my internship and I was already hungry so my friend and I went to look for food and trust Lagos sun to be shining like it was being sponsored by hell fire.

 After walking under the hot sun and arriving at our usual bukka , we were told that since it was a public holiday, they hadn't cooked. At this point my hunger intensified and  so did my anger because the thought of walking under the hot sun again with my empty stomach was enough to make me boil but  I couldn't walk all the way back empty handed so we decided to walk further in search of another bukka and that was when I heard "fine girl come na" of course I didn't stop and that was when this man old enough to be somebody's father held my hand. 

Haaa, this one had just messed with me at the wrong time. I had to stop and ask if he was ok and again it was the audacity for me, he answered with a bold "yes". "You can't be okay sir , because if you are ok you will not  just touch a random person on the road", I was ready for crase and I had found the perfect person to pour out my "hunger-anger" on but at the same time my friend and I were too hungry and as a "soft babe"🤭, I wasn't ready to cause a scene because heads were already turning in my direction so I just walked on before I would find myself on instablog.

I don't know who needs to hear this but you don't have to touch somebody to get their attention especially if it's someone you don't know. Learn this so that you will not receive hot slap one day.

I would have written this piece on Father's Day but I didn't want to be selfish. I didn't want to turn a happy occasion to a sad one. So I'll write it today, some days after Father's Day.
