AN ESSENTIAL SPICE OF LIFE

 Eyin fans mi, can we all agree that a little "crase" is relevant from time-to-time??  Nothing beats greeting a little "gbas gbos" with a well deserved " gbas gbos gbas" especially from someone who least expects it from you. 

A few weeks ago , I had a little squabble with a domestic staff in my school. Normally  I would have  just walked off or  let it go even though I knew I wasn't wrong because "too much shalaye dey spoil steeze" but that day was different, I told myself I had too match her crase for future purpose. Now we see each other and there's no bad blood, everybody is respecting themselves.

Composure is very key but we should normalize "changing it for people" sometimes because people honestly don't know how to behave or they just get too comfortable behaving a certain way, therefore there should be a subtle reminder that crase is not restricted to people of a certain tribe, age or colour. 

People should be well aware of the fact that if they misbehave, they are likely to "collect". Don't be aggressive or rude but don't let anyone get comfortable mistreating you because you are more than enough, everything.

I hope you missed me as much as I missed you, I'm back and I don't plan on going anywhere.

    Walk away is the best medicine in life. Supposing the gbosas land the person to hospital or death, you have created problems for yourself. JO

SOME DAYS AFTER FATHER'S DAY

I would have written this piece on Father's Day but I didn't want to be selfish. I didn't want to turn a happy occasion to a sad one. So I'll write it today, some days after Father's Day. I don't think I was ever told what death was. Not even now. No one ever sat with me to have that "talk", the one that tries to soften the tough blow reality has dealt you. I just… knew.
