A NEW VARIANT OF SEE FINISH

When Qing Madi said 🎶I dey avoid see finish make I dey my own make you sef dey your own🎶  I honestly couldn't relate  the first time I heard those lyrics but I knew this was a subject I wouldn't let pass me by, so I just saved it for the future.  I know you can now understand,  YES,  I have had my own little taste of "see finish", so what better opportunity??   Have you people heard of "silent see finish"?? You must have experienced it but you don't know what it is. No need to worry, Your big sister  has got you.🤭 What is see finish in the first place??   According to the urban dictionary, it means "to be taken for granted". In my understanding, "See finish" could be seen as indirect insult and in some crazy cases, direct insult. The pain of see finish also comes in different magnitudes ranging from people you know to people who shouldn't be talking to you in the first place.  Now to the main topic of discussion "Silent S...

THE FEAR OF NEEDLES....

Let me tell y'all how  I got my first boyfriend, *tucks hair behind her ear*. It was my official first day of school and I was going about my registration and  finally got to the last part which was my medical registration. I just thought we would get our medical files and register our allergies at the clinic but that was not the case. For some reason they had to get blood samples.  I suspected my "big girl" was about to end  and it did 😭.  I  started crying on other people's behalf when they were getting their  blood samples to the point that people started laughing and the nurse began begging them to tell me to stop crying. A whole me, a whole "undergraduate" of mass communication was crying because of needle. It finally got to my turn, I was already crying and fidgeting and my veins were beginning to disappear, that's was when the nurse swung into action. She begged the boy before me who had just finished giving his blood sample to allow me hold hi...

NOT SO BIG GIRL ERA 😔

Haaaaaa!!!I knew it wasn't cheap but I never knew it was this expensive. I am talking about no other thing but the "big girl lifestyle". I just entered the university and as such I am having the big girl fever, I told myself that I had to invest in something either my scent, hair, skin or clothes. Something just had to show that I was a "uni" girl.  My first shocker was the price of sunscreen, I was honestly tired of this Nigerian sun and it felt like the sun in my school was just hotter so I opted for sunscreen because it's a big girl trend🤭. I went into a store haven budgeted 5k only for me to see 10k for a bottle I would use only for two weeks. On the spot I just remembered that umbrella would be sunscreen till further notice 😭.   My next shocker just had to be the cost of makeup. "When I went into the store and I saw the prices, I said "awwoo jumpscare"”. That was my reaction when I bought  two items for 7500. The shop attendant even had...

WHAT NOBODY EVER TELLS YOU

Image
I am here to tell you what nobody  actually tells you because I like you🤭 and I don't want you to look like a clown 🤡.   As a child,  I remember envying university students because they always looked like university  had nothing to do with education only enjoyment (LOL 😭),  they didn't wear uniforms, they dressed how they wanted and they had the longest holiday . Thinking about it now,  I was actually a child because how could that have been my biggest worry about the educational system 😂. It never occurred to me that they were schooling.     No one actually tells you how physically draining and emotionally stressful it is until you enter the system. That's when you start hearing things like" Pele that's how it is", " That's what I went through" but why didn't you speak???😭 Is that not wickedness?? .As a child all I considered as school was primary and secondary school, now I feel like the biggest clown 🤡 , that kind th...

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ‼️‼️‼️

Happy New year wonderful people .I haven't written in a long while and there are no excuses. The new year comes with New goals and targets and in the spirit of this New year, I have chosen consistency as a goal this year, so in that faith I hope to post more this year.

2023........

Well, well, well. What can I say?? 2022 was good to me, it had it's ups and more than sufficient downs but I am more than thankful. I achieved the most important things I needed to achieve in 2022. The year ended on a "limping note" for me (you'll soon understand what I mean)............... Now it's 2023, I had dreamt of stepping into 2023 with some shakara but instead I leapt into 2023 with a leg that I was afraid might have fractured but thanks to God it's just a very bad bruise and injury to my nerves. I remember almost dying 1st of January 2021, I was in pain from 12 am to 12pm that day and I almost thought I would go but I didn't. This was because of a stupid mistake I made by 11:55 pm, 31st December 2020 (some minutes before the New year). Let's rewind to why I leapt into 2023. It was 31st December 2022 and I had been inside all day, so I decided to play dress up, I wore something really nice, repacked my hair, did slight make up and decided to s...

THE REASON SHE ISN'T HERE ANYMORE ‼️‼️‼️

Image
Well it all began in silence, no noise made, no questions asked, all bruises covered up. Now the noise has begun at the end, how ironic, blame is passed from one person to another. Who is to blame? Why didn't she say anything? Why did she stay?  I'll try to answer since she isn't here anymore. Sh stayed for her children, to give them a home or at least that is what she thought she was doing. She stayed for society, what would they say? what would they think? Would they respect me? would I still be accepted? Last of all, she stayed for love. Love like they say is blind. Maybe it's blindness doesn't stop at the eyes it may extend to the mind. These are all the reasons she might have stayed, these are all the reasons she isn't here anymore. she cared too much for the thought of others. she was scared. -Dedicated to Osinachi  Nwachukwu (The Ekueme crooner) Ps: I know it's coming late but I was too busy earlier this year. #STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PLEAS...
