I can sleep at anytime, anywhere, under any condition and if this isn't a super power,  then I don't know what is. Once I place my head on my pillow "it's gone" .  The ability to sleep with ease is so underrated and underestimated. Some people pay to have this power but they can't have it, some  can't  even afford  the time to use this super power even if they wanted to and then there are a lucky few like me who have this power and can use it whenever we want. "Sleep is the golden chain that binds our health and bodies together". Some of the many  health benefits of sleep are; it helps to maintain weight, improves mood, lowers the risk of heart disease, improves sharpness of the mind and rumour has it also that it's beneficial to the skin. Hiii my people, I know I disappeared for the longest time but I am back now. School  stressed me  too much this semester but guess who is  successfully done with her first year of university?? Me 🤭. If  I could capture what I feel presently in one phrase, it just has to be " Calm down Calm down, you have escaped" because I don't understand the kind of shege I saw. Now as a big sister and proper undergraduate  I feel I am in a good  position to advice people who are about to enter the university and to remind those already in the race  of a few things . 1.) SHEGE WILL BE SEEN:  One just has to be prepared for shege because it only gets worse. Don't go clowning and think university is like what you see in movies . Both federal, state and private schools, I assure that there's  no escape route. Shege comes in different varieties so be ready for whichever one life throws at you. It's ok to complain sometimes , it doesn't really change much...

 Happy new month to  my amazing readers. We are six months into 2023 and all I can say is "Thank God" because I have learnt some important  lessons I'll like to share. 1.) NO PRESSURE: At the beginning of this year, I told myself that I would not set any time-bound "New Year's resolution" for myself because it only brings pressure and disappointment when one can't achieve anything. This year, I picked consistency over pressure because, as the old saying goes "slow and steady wins the race". 2.) BOUNDARIES: This was the first lesson I learnt this year. Boundaries apply not only to the rules and limits we set for others in our lives but also to the limits we set for ourselves in the lives of others. I know how much one might want to help and show concern for others, but we should be careful  so as not to be seen as "doing too much". I am quite aware that we are all entitled to our opinions but the way some human beings think will shock you and not in a good way . It  just becomes more disappointing when it is from a person you least expect.  There are very disturbing opinions today especially on social media that have made me  question people's thinking.  My  concern about such opinions is not even for the "I too know" advisers but for the innocent unknowledgeable people that will digest such advice with no filter, put it into practice then constitute societal nuisance.  I have also realized  that  academic qualifications or  academic intelligence doesn't really ensure wisdom and only God can help some people because somethings are beyond human intervention. "Men will show you what?? Shege", "Men will stain your white","Men are scum. Boys are liars"........ I don't really know the lyrics to "Boys are liars", the only line I know is..... Yes, you guessed right 🎶boys are liars 🎶 but you need to see me singing that line like I have been served hot "breakfast". Ask me which boy has lied to me or even shown me shege. The only shege I have seen is either from my school or Nigeria in general and I know I am not the only one in this boat.That is just to show you how social media has a very big way of forming our opinions. It just has to be the audacity for me because there is no other explanation for such rubbish.Those boys in Lagos market just have to be the worst, they first of all have the audacity to call out to you, then drag or touch you  and when you don't respond they still try to pick a fight or  insult you when you react.  Who gave these people such confidence??😭."  There are a lot of laws that are missing from the Nigerian constitution e.g improving the police act,  creating a more severe punishment for sexual offenders, etc. but one that is of great concern to me today is the inclusion of punishments  for people who have odours of any kind. Yes, because it is a serious offence that has to be addressed with immediate alacrity. Body odour and other odours in general have to become offences punishable by the law because they infringe on people's human right.Is it a crime to come to class and breathe fresh air or enter a bus without my breathing being hindered by my fellow human being? In my opinion offenders should either face jail sentences or be made to pay heavy fines. As it is Nigeria has more problems and people like this can't continue adding to the problems. My fellow human beings, deodorant isn't really expensive and neither is body spray, in fact taking a proper bath at least twice a day can go a long way. Let us work togeth...
